I have always struggled to find a bag that is small enough to carry all day, but big enough to carry a book, glasses, phone, notepad and possibly a camera. It seems well made, padded and I like the cross body strap. The big difference between this and the many others I have looked at is that it is relatively small but has some depth, so your book can be a decent size and have 500 pages. Only time will tell if it wears well, but I am optimistic.
